OUR WINTER POP-UP SHOP IS OPEN!! Reposted from @bristol_popupshop Aaaaand we're OPEN! 🥳 Our team has worked really hard the past few days to get everything ready for the big opening and curate the shop with all the amazing wares our artists and makers have dropped off. With so much talent on display it's full to the brim with unique special gifts! We've done everything possible to ensure a Covid safe and relaxed shopping atmosphere for everyone, so come on down and browse a selection of Bristol's finest independents. Some of the makers are also working in the shop so you'll even get to meet the creative peeps behind the products! You find us at @galleriesbristol on the First Floor between Waterstones and the Food Court.
Our opening times are Monday - Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am-5pm and we're open all the way til the 24th of December. We hope to see you soon!

Well there couldn't really be a better time to explain why, if you can, it's important to #shopsmallshoplocal right now. At what should be the busiest time of year for lots of small independent 'brick & mortar' retailers they are faced with lockdown 2.0. If you like buying something which has had someone's time, energy & love poured into it to make it the very best they could, they consider buying from an indie. Most will have pivoted and are now selling online.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Do some research. See if you can find some local makers. Make a few small changes if you can, as they really will make a difference. I am going to try and shop as much as possible from Bristol makers, or other UK independents. It takes a little more time and effort but the quality is always miles better and the receiver much happier!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
